8100: Date/Time does not update via Network -

Is anyone experiencing this problem?
I set the time on the west coast (SF) and make sure the "Date/Time" in Options is set to the "Network" source.
Then I land on the east coast (NYC) and the date/time does not update or change in any way.
Can someone help me understand what "Network" is supposed to imply?
How can I get auto updating of the date/time on the 8100?
