Default Will Tmobile match prices on the pearl

Please Login to Remove!

I went to a website and they have the similar deal to tmobiles website (younevercall), but instead of $199 it has it for $99 and both of them get the companion airfare voucher. Will T-mobile match this price, I am looking at switching to tmobile from Sprint ()

Default Not Likely

I called my corp. t-mob sales rep. She could only go as low as $149 with free activation for me with a 2yr contract. I got it through Amazon with the same 2yr deal for FREE.

They should be able to do that price. I got mine about a month ago for $150 plus a $50 mail in rebate (that i already received) and I had 1 year left on my contract with sprint ($175 cancellation i thinK) that they paid for it!

Amazon says 5-6 weeks to ship! Was that the case for you? Thanks.

They matched it for me, no problem. I brought in a print out of an Amazon deal that had it for $49 before the $50 T-Mobile rebate and they matched that price. This was on the 12th. I did it at the t-Mobile store in Santa Monica. Got my girlfriend a Razr v3t for $0.01 the same way and at the same time. they also threw in a carry case for the pearl. I had to pay tax on the full retail amount which came to about $40 on both handsets.

I bought mine on 10/27/06 and used the following online store to show them and they matched it minus the free bluetooth headset. I got mine for $50 with a $50 mail in rebate. When I asked the sales person he said he had to call his manager and he would get back to me within a day, but he ended up calling me in about 20 minutes to say they would do it.

NICE! I'm thinking of going that route to take advantage of the air fare promotion and BT headset. I guess if you want to port your current number, you just have to wait for the phone to arrive and then call T-Mobil and have them do it for you?

Oh man, so have I got a story about price matching.

So I went and bought a Pearl last week at a T-Mobile-owned store, full price and everything. As I was surfing the forums this week, I saw this thread. I decided to give the guy who I bought the phone from a call, to see if he would price match Amazon.com. He said no, because there were a variety of restrictions on Amazon.com and that I could order from them if I was willing to live with those restrictions.

I then saw there was the deal listed about at 1shopwireless. I decided to call up a different store and see if I got a similar response. I acted as if I were a new customer and asked if they could match the price if I brought in the offer. The guy said yes, I would have to pay the $250 upfront, but I would get a $150 credit, then plus the $50 rebate I would get the phone for $50. Great. I decided as a courtesy to call up the guy I had originally bought the phone from again. I mentioned I had found another deal that wasn't Amazon.com, and that another store had agreed to match it.

Man was he upset. He started babbling about how corporate stores aren't allowed to undercut one another, how he was going to call the district manager and talk to the manager at the other store! I'm on the phone like, what the hell do I care, you guys work your own stuff out. I'm returning the phone until you can get your act together.

So maybe I'll order the phone from Amazon.com with Cingular service.
