trackball lights disabled on cingular 8100?

it appears that the cingular firmware has disabled the trackball lights. the option to enable them or disable them doesn't appear to be in the screen/keyboard settings which is where I believe it is on the t-mobile version (if I remember correctly). anyone want to confirm or deny?

I don't know about the Cingular 8100, but on my T-Mo I access this feature in the following manner:

Phone > Menu > Options > General Options > Ringtone Lighting.

follow westerns instructions above....I have cingular and it lights up when ringing and low light conditions its white.

That particular menu option is not in the Cingular branded pearl. At least not in mine.

I have a Cingular Pearl, too...and mine seems to be working just fine.

My Cingular has the Ringtone feature also. Just as described.
