Default Problem installing upgrade OS

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

I must be missing something....

I'm trying to install the Telefónica Móviles 4.2.0.67 OS for my 8100.

I run the install package. It seems to install without errors, but when I run the Desktop nothing installs to my BB.

Am I slightly retarded or is something wrong?

Thanks in advance.

i believe you need to delete the vendor.xml file before it will proceed with the update. usually in...

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader

That's right. Find the vendor.xml file and delete it.

Should work after that. You can also use the modified .ALX file if you want to have the unlocked themes added.

I recommend installing the OS with the standard .alx file then after all goes well, replace the blackberry.als file with Jibi's then running desktop manager again. A few have had problems when using the modified .alx file during initial install.
