Yeah so my hands get oily and with the constant use of my phone so does my blackberry... Then I wash my hands to then pick up my oily blackberry. Any one have some good ideas for cleaning said oily blackberry? Sadly it is not dishwasher safe!

I agree. Something must be done.

Becareful wiping you BB on other than a microfiber cloth to avoid scratches. Shiney devices like the Pearl are really sensitive to oil and smudges. I just don't worry so much and once a day wipe it down with a mirofiber cloth!

This is what I do and it works well. Caution: wife may mock.



Paper towel with a tad of Windex, give it a thorough wipe down all over and it looks like it came out of the box.

I got the seidio rubber case. That has eliminated all oil on the pearl. If you get one that fits properly that is the way to go, or you could use glasses wipes from costco

there is a thing in Apple store called iKlear for iPods, etc. You can also use it for Pearl. Thats what i do. No oil afterwards. Very clean. Very good stuff. Cames with a big piece of microfiber and a bottle of cleaner (+some travel cleaners). Cost about $25.

I knew that was going to be a problem so I only handled my Pearl by the chrome sides until my BSE Full Body Skin and Seidio Rubberized Case came in.

I have the same issue - and my screen fogs up.

I also use the microfiber dish-cleaning cloths from costco..

I just use the BSE with an OEM rubber skin.

Works perfectly at keeping oily fingerprints and smudges on my device.

I have tried several but found no better than these. This is one great company to deal with and I don't even own it!

I use the same...a microfiber cloth that you can get anywhere from a photo store or from your optometrist, the next time you visit him/her. Does wonders!

hmm the pearl a lil more rugged than you guys think. Mine gets a lil oily, I just wipe with across my sleeve/shirt. I do this pretty much daily and no scratches. I've dropped my Pearl like 4 times already and still no noticeable scratches.

I don't do skins or microfiber wipes

The BSE doesn't cover the keys where it's most prone to it.

Thanks to the others that have posted I am going to the microfiber cloth and are what happens!

I also use a microfibre cloth. Its been workin' great for me.
