Is anyone else having this problem on the BB 8100, if i receive an e-mail or text message/SMS it is eating up memory on my BB 8100,

I have tried deleting the messages and clearing the event log but its no better,

The only way i can clear down the memory is to pull out the battery in reinsert it again,

I have downgraded and upgraded the OS but it isn't making any difference at all, anyone have a fix for this?

I recently switched from the 8700c to the Cingular 8100 and am experiencing the same memory problem. I have only one add-on program installed - PocketDay - buy have almost no memory available. I have tried erasing all extra language modules which seemed to help only marginally. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I did the same wiped all the unwanted languages and sure type languages that i don’t use also dumped the games, It freed up some memory but didn't help the problem any

I have also started noticing this problem over the past few days as well. I tend to listen to the mp3 player all night at work. I get alot of messages as well in that time and it slows BIGTIME. When i type i can have the whole message done sometimes befoer it catches up. Weird. Pulling the battery is the only thing that seams to work. Sucko.

yea but they have to be wiped one by one then when you have them all gone remove the battery and reinstall it again and it will free up some memory

Same answer - delete the unnecessary language packs and free up some memory.
