Ive gone through and searched archived messages. Has the Hotmail problem been resolved with the Pearl? Is there any way at all to setup Hotmail with the Pearl? How bout with a hotmail premium account?

I personally have not got it to work, my way around was to got to my hotmail, on the left hand side of the screen is a tab for options. Hotmail will send an alert if someone on your list sent you anything, a small lag in time but it works well, also you will not get notifications on junk mail. Then I use opera mini to check hotmail. hope this helps

I have had no issues having Hotmail delivered to any of my BlackBerries including the Pearl. Having said that I should mention that my Hotmail account is very old though. I have heard that newer Hotmail accounts have to be premium accounts to have email delivered to the BlackBerry.

I too have no problems having my hotmail messages delivered. Premium works perfectly fine. I just use my windows live email!

How did you set it up? I belive that doing through the TMobile website automatically denies the hotmail domain. Is there another way to set it up? I dont mind getting premier if necessary, but Im not sure how that will fix the problem.

No problems with hotmail (msn.com) and my 8700c or the Pearl .. Used them both .. My msn account is also very old, back in the beta days of MSN.

I'm Canadian and on Rogers Wireless. I set mine up via BIS.

Mine works great too, but as mentioned above, my account is at least 2 years old and I used Cingular BIS to set mine up.

Well dang.....I've had my hotmail account since 1999 and I can't get my emails to come through. You guys are lucky!

hotmaill didnt work with my bb browser but works perfectly with opera mini.

For those of you who can't get it to work - have you tried changing your account to Windows Live Mail beta? Upgrade and then try configuring BIS. Might be worth a try - you can always go back to normal hotmail (without Windows Live Mail)....

I'm under the impression its a t-mo thing that stops the setup of hotmail push. if you've got a BES or a non-t-mo account it is do-able.
someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

I downloaded a program called getmail. It forwards hotmail to any email address you want. Works fast and well.

did you guys try Opera Mini? It works for me. But, I also downloaded getmail and now I have all my hotmail forwarded to my yahoo which is synced wtih my blackberry pearl.

At first I couldn't get it to work, but I kept messing around with the T-Mobile website and somehow it did. Then I began receiving emails in the same inbox as my text messages, which I wasn't too fond of at all. Is there anyway to create seperate inboxes? TIA!

OK, I just set up my free hotmail (I am on Cingular, BIS 2.x) it all worked, it also deletes when I delete from handheld.

Cool, you got it to work. Does your email goto the same inbox as your SMS?
