Default Anyone else think the ball/pearl is too bright?

Wish you could dim or turn it off as when using the phone in the dark the Pearl is so bright it takes away from the screen and keyboard lighting!

Would be nice if someone wrote a program to customize the lighting scheme.

What OS version are you on? I commented about this when I first got the 8100 with the original TMO v .42 but the latest .67 seems to have dimmed the trackball so I can at least see the keyboard. With .42, in a dim environment, forget it.

4.2.0.69 on 8100c

It could be 1/4 of the brightness and be fine. Just seems like a huge waste of power and a distraction. It is not like I will not be able to find the little bugger

I agree. It could be off and be even better.
