Default Still Getting Charged for Texting

Please Login to Remove!

Ok.....very frustrated right now. I got mig33 and also google talk so I could text over data, but here comes the bill from T-mobile and I have another $8+ charge on the bill for texting. I have tcp at wap.voicestream.com and I stayed away from the oz messengers. What could I be doing wrong?

Hmm...what application are you using

I am using IM+ and it seems to be running great using data not text...

Migg33 and bb messenger. I have google talk also, but I haven't started using it yet.

The way it looks is that is uses SMS not DATA...What instant messaging provider do you use aim;yahoo;msn etc...

Hmm...check this website out SHAPE Services - Software for PDA and mobiles: MSN, Yahoo!, AOL, ICQ, Jabber, LCS, Sametime try it out let me know what you think...that is what i am currently using im still under the trial im still debating if I should purchase the program or not it is priced @ $50 bucks but it is awsome I love it im most deff going to buy it

Are you receiving any text messages. I believe you get charged for them also. The IM programs should not charge as text messages.

I send and receive. So I guess I have no choice but to get the $4.99 texting package.......damn! Thought the data plan had me covered.

Have you loaded yahoo messenger from the blackberry.com site? I know when I first did mine I was getting charged and couldnt figure it out, so I started looking around on my computer, and found out that on the Yahoo homesite up on your task bar it says mobile. Somehow it was set, that everytime I logged off from my yahoo messenger from my computer it would log onto my pearl, and I was getting charged. I had to go into the mobile page and delete everything.
Hope this helps.
If you downloaded Yahoo mess. from blackberry.com you shouldnt be getting charged.

$19.99 plan with 1500 minute family plan. I downloaded yak-on and they say that's all data....send and receive. I'm more an msn user than yahoo, so I can wait until I get home to use yahoo. Anyone use yak-on who can verify that it's all data?

maybe people on your msn are going to their mobile devices and so it automatically switches to sending by text somewhere in the system. I think what tony597fitter said is somewhat along the same lines.
