Default Bluetooth power usage

Please Login to Remove!

I did not realize how much power having Bluetooth on used. I have always had it on till I lost my headset now my battery last longer.

And I was gonna start a thread about this. Is an OS update looking at fixing this power hog? Using GPS takes more than half my power in less than 2 hours.

I expected my battery to last longer on the phone using my BT HS since I wouldnxxx8217;t be using the phones own speaker

Unfortunately, the Bluetooth chip is not the most efficient device. Plus the Pearl is using a V2 BT chip so that even makes it worse for battery life.

What about keeping the Pearl on the car's charger when using bluetooth. Is that a safety hazard or is it ok to do so? Anyone do it?
