Default viewing/editing attachments

i did a search and it came up with different stuff but not what i was looking for so i though i'd ask

what kind of attachments can be opened or edited on the pearl

sorry if its a dumb question. or maybe someone can post a link with all the 411

Common attachment formats such as MS Word, Excel, .pdf, .gif, .tif and others can be viewed on your BlackBerry device. There are also third party apps that allow you to edit these files.

so i cant edit any attachments without a third party app??

all i can do is view and forward them ?

Without 3rd party software, you can only view them.

i found 2 apps

1 is eword and dochawk will these two work or is there one that does them both in one ? or does anyone have any suggestions

i need to be able to view all attachments and edit them too when i need to

I use eWord as a part of eOffice. VERY expensive, but works for Office documents.

Any others that are free and work just as well.... And wat exactly is expensive?
