How long should it take to receive a message after it is sent. Im new to the blackberry thing but I thought it was supposed to be instant. $45 buck a month and the pearl get the message about 5 minutes after my outlook gets it on a scheduled send/receive?

BIS can take up to 15 minutes I believe. If the email account(s) are other than cingular, set them up to forward copies to your cingular account - they arrive almost instantly.

You can get more than your Yahoo or GMail instantly.
I have my AOL account polled every single minute and forwarded to my Blackberry near instantly with a service offered by a company called VersaForward. See VersaForward Email Forwarding Service - AOL, Hotmail, MSN, Yahoo to your Cell Phone, Blackberry, or Email

These people are great and I have used them for a long time with no problems!
