There are several threads on RAZR vs. BB chargers. I think the OP here asked specifically about the 8700 car charger, no?

Yes...the car charger. Read the specs on both the RAZR charger and my 8700... the same. Different story on the travel (wall) charger. Don't use the RAZR wall charger for the BB but you can use the BB wall charger for the RAZR.

Can I use the car charger while running the Pearl on bluetooth without any safety issues?

Why not??? I do.

It doesn't matter if the amperage is wrong, the BB will only pull the amperage that it needs. The charger will not push more amps than the BB will accept.

Agreed, I use my Razr wall charger on my 7100g, 7130c and now my Pearl. All work fine.
