Make sure you uninstall any version you might have on the PC and then try to install it again

What message do you get or does the computer do nothing?

I had the same issue although it presented and error saying along the lines of "can't install now try later"
So I went into the guts of the machine (Regedit) and removed every trace of Blackberry. then went into the C:\Documents & Settings\[Username]\app data rim
deleted it and same for program files and found all traces of rim and deleted it too.

went back to install and went through happily
