Hey all,

I upgraded my Blackberry Pearl operating system to the latest version. I decided to skip the "save and restore messages" option (or whatever it was specifically called). I incorrectly assumed that the BES would just send all my Outlook messages to my Blackberry after the upgrade. It didn't.

Since the upgrade, only *new* messages have appeared in my Blackberry. All the old messages are not there. I emailed my BES admin, who made a suggestion concerning setting up a Personal Folder and trying to transfer that way, but he basically told me that I'm outa luck. [I tried his suggestion, but that too did not transfer the old messages, even over a USB cable connection transfer.]

My old (pre-upgrade) email is still showing up in Outlook when I access the remote servers. It's just not on the Blackberry Pearl itself, and I can't find any way to copy it back onto the device. Is there an easy way to do this?

I basically want the Blackberry to (again) match exactly what I have stored on the Microsoft Exchange Server that I access through Outlook.

after an upgrade unless you perform a backup first and then do a limited restore after you upgrade......you can select just the mail messages db from the backup to restore to your new blackberry
