Default QuickPlay - Getting Closer? - Tinytube OK?

Please Login to Remove!

I just noticed on the mobile.blackberry.com wap site that a QuickPlay preview is up with some demo movies. They don't stream but play great on the pearl. I believe that QuickPlay is available only through providers (see: QuickPlay Media - Home ) but its possible that this could be in our short term future in some manifestation.

Also, I re-check tinytube.net and played a few vids direct to the 8100 and it worked great. Once again no streaming but there are selections for speed of play and stream. Low worked fine but it was a complete download before the video kicked in. I tried high and the 8100 locked up. Streaming says its not applicable to the device. I'm not sure if there are file size limits but time will tell. I don't know the vid format but maybe .69 OS has a more tolerant player?

GMK - I'm also expecting something soon from Quickmedia. I had the link to the beta Quickplayer, but the player hasn't been able to connect to their network for about a week, and now the link to download the player is gone. Hmmm.

This is great. Can't wait to see what will be made available to us and how soon. Looks like they are tying the release to people being home for the holidays.

As the story said, on or by the 21st. Should be interesting to see what they have.
