Default Voice Delayed on Answering

Please Login to Remove!

My girlfriend is having an issue with her 8100 where when she answers the phone she can hear the caller, but the caller cannot hear her for 5 or seconds. It just started happening recently but nothing on the phone had changed (no new software, etc.)

She just upgraded to the latest T-Mo OS to fix another issue, but this one still remains.

Any thoughts?

You might want to try the Telefonica's OS or the new Cingular OS. I upgraded to Telefonica's from the OEM and didn't have the issue again.

The issue went away for me on the 4.2.0.67 version and is still gone on the .69 version.

The upgrade fixed my issue with the delay. I didn't even realize I had a big delay until everyone heard me on the first hello. I always thought it was just how the phone worked.

Could someone please post a link to the most currently available OS?

If I do move to say the Telefonica release, will I lose my existing OEM T-Mobile themes? I have not unlocked any.

use the .alx file posted by jibi for the Cingular .69 version and you will have all the themes. Find it here:

I have the voice delay thing so I am going to upgrade to the Cingy .69 OS. Will the upgrade go OK with the modified .alx I am now using? I just recently unlocked my themes on .64.

Can I just do the upgrade and then modify with the jibi .alx for the Cingular .69 afterwards?

Just remember to back up your stuff before you upgrade.
