Default will service book be affected by firmware update?

Please Login to Remove!

Will a firmware update affect my service book setup

I am currently carrying two service books - 1 from cingular- my US carrier and one form an international carrier whose sim card and service I use in Europe ( cheaper than cingular international rates)

The european carrier does not support native attachments in its BIS version so I really need the service book which cingular sent me not to be affected by the firmware update since only Cingular service book allows attachments

I am in Europe now so if teh firmware wipes teh service book and I only receive the european carrier service book I will lose attachment capabilities

any thoughts ??

What version do you currently have? Did you get your phone from Cingular?

Wink

Upgrading the OS may knock out the service books. Can Cingular not resend the service book to your device?

I actually have a t-mobile pearl and cingular service
as I am based primarily overseas I would have to call cingular
ask them to momentarily activate international service and send a book

its a hour process which I would like to avoid
