Default Replacement Side Case

Please Login to Remove!

I dropped my phone and there is a minor chip on the right chrome side of the case.
Everything works fine, but everytime I see the chip I frown.
I don't like frowning and wanted to know if anyone knew where i could get a replacement side piece, I could install it myself...i think.
Its a tmo and i've got an insurance plan, don't want to spend 110 bucks for a replacement though because I'm 99.99% sure i'll be getting the new 8800.

Thanks

As far as I know, there are no replacement parts yet available for the Pearl, except the battery cover. Try finding a non-functioning one on eBay for cheap.

Sounds like a good workaround until you get the 8800 is to simply buy a skin or case and hide the blemish, much as we humans do.

i had a case from extremepda.com, it worked well except it made typing the outermost keys in each row a little bit harder. The phone hit the street after i got out of my car, it hit the upper right part of the chrome side where the little suave line turns downward.
skins and cases would do i suppose...i really, really like how the phone looks though and i'd like to keep it open.

I saw a dummy phone on ebay... dont know if that'd have replaceable parts or if its just a piece of foam...

What really sucks is 8800 no-camera thing that tmo is going to release, why the hell does it take so long to release a new version of the 8700 and more importantly, how damn long does it take to install a camera??
The new camera better be like a 4 megapixel one or something..really makes no sense to release a non-camera version when installing it is likely easy.
