When I received internet email on the BB, I had been getting the little red stars so I could see whaich account the email had come to, as well as on the combined "all incoming" message box.

Now, although the red star is showing on the combined box, it does not show on the individual accounts, even though the new messages do appear in those directories.

Any thoughts?

Have you made any changes? i.e. New OS or settings?

Most recent OS from T-Mobile a few days ago, but it was still working since then - just stopped yesterday. The only thing I did yesterday was play with the gmail POP settings (since reset), because I didn't know the gmail outage was wider than just me screwing something up!

Have tried removing and reinstalling the accounts both online and through the handheld, and the emails still come through (and the star shows on the combined account), just not the individuals.

menu/options/advanced options/host routing table/menu/register now.

If that still doesn't fix it, menu/setup internet e-mail/service books/send service books.

i have my BB to have the all messages folder as the first in the Zen theme so I dont need to look at which email recieved one. Also set different tones for each email address and you can hear what email just recieved one and not even look.. But i get the red stars on each one so cant help other than that sorry

i'm having a similar problem. i have two gmail accts and one pop email acct for work email. the gmail folders get the red stars but the pop folder doesn't it...the all messages folder always gets stars.

An interesting turn of events, now the stars from just the two gmail acounts will not go away. I guess it is a careful what you wish for moment...

When I roll over the folders, it shows 4 new messages, even though I deleted them a few minutes earlier, and the folder is not actually holding anything - new or old.

I wonder if this is a part of the broader gmail problem?

Pull the battery out now that you sent the service books.
