Default Sync 8100 with Outlook on 2 Computers

Please Login to Remove!

OK, I have 222 contacts at home & 220 at work. I 1st synced from home & when I sync at work, NO changes are made to to Outlook, nor any changes from the work Outlook are made to the 8100. The ONLY thing that I see is tha the Outlook Contact Photos will sync....strange. Anyone have success syncing to two different computers?

I synch with Outlook on two different computers (home and work), but I only synch my calendar at work and everything at home. I haven't noticed any discrepancies so far.

Have you configured synchronization so that it prompts you for every change, so you can see how many contacts, etc. are being transferred pc->phone and phone->pc?

I sure do...that's how I knew about the Outlook Contact Photos changing. Think you could try the contacts?

I have the syncing going on with my main PC and my laptop and I ran into a few problems like you are having. How I got around them....

Go into Synchronize then click on the Configuration tab then click Configure sync... Make sure what you want to sync on that computer is all checked (and make sure Outlook is what is selected to sync with of course). Next click on Configure -> Advanced Settings then click on Conflict Resolution and:
a) If you want to sync from the 8100 to the computer choose "Handheld Wins"
b) If you want to sync from the computer to the 8100 choose "Microsoft Outlook Wins"
Then OK, OK, Synchronize tab, and click Synchronize Now.

Also you can go in a wipe Outlook clean and then choose "Handheld Wins" and it will copy the 8100, or if you wanted to wipe the 8100 choose Microsoft Outlook Wins" after you erase everything
