Question Idokorro Mobile Desktop - Looks like Windows 98

Please Login to Remove!

Hey Guys,

Anyone out there using Idokorro Mobile Desktop? If so, is there a way I can get my remote sessions to look like the acutal Windows XP or Windows 2003 servers I am connecting to? All of my sessions (regardless of using TCP/IP or BES for my connections) all look like the square START button like back in Windows 98 and all my task bars and window frames are grey...

I used to use Remote Desktop (I forget the company name) but each remote session was an exact duplicate of how my desktop looked on the specific server I was connecting too.

I have my sessions set to use RDP - should I try VNC?

Thanks for any help that is offered!

You are correct Mobile Desktop when using an RDP connection reverts the Windows XP theme to the "Classic" theme. This is done in order to save bandwidth, as sending the graphics of the windows XP theme uses a lot of bandwidth and often overruns the MDS data limit pretty quickly.

We could put an option in order to allow you to select wether you want this bandwidth saving feature turned on or off.

As well if you use a VNC connection this does not happen.

Thanks for your feedback! For a quicker response to questions please email our support team directly, [email address] .
