Hi I'm a complete newbie to the blackberry. On the pearl i've followed all the instructions to changing the ringtone from either an mp3 or even using just the preloaded ones. I've tried it with assigned tones to specific contacts and just a general ringtone and it will ALWAYS use the Classic phone. It's driving me nuts. Anyone else have this problem or a know of a solution? I'm on rogers Canada too.

Hi are you saving when you exit the ringtones menu

Yes, i do save, "set as phone tune" but it doesn't work,
I switched it to vibrate so I didn't have to listen to it, now it won't change from that.

Thank you for your help. I was following all the necessary instructions, and after messing around with it for a day and a half it has now decided to work. I don't know why it wouldn't at first it was stuck on classic phone and wouldn't leave. But problem solved. Thanks for trying.
