hey guys.

i downloaded opera mini, and changed the APN settings for TMobile.

does this cost any extra or anything?

i have unlimited data plan, btw.

i thought apn is supposed to be wap.voicestream.com? anyway, it doesnt cost anything if you have unlimited data.

^^Ditto. Unlimited data covers your e-mail, any Internet usage (regardless of browser), and any programs that use Internet (like Instant Messaging programs, Google Maps, etc.)

Be careful some IM applications do use SMS even though they are connected to the internet also. Some open and close the IM convo using text messages. If you search you can see which are free and which use SMS

T-Mobile's APN settings are Wap.voicestream.com
with the rest left blank such as user name and password

and also some applications don't work currently on Cingular's network, such as Yahoo Messenger for BB, available off RIM's website.

there is a work around to get Yahoo(from RIM) to work with the cingular network just search the forum and you will find it.
