download and install the handheld software on your PC....run application loader then when it lists everything on your BB....try and uncheck mark the preloaded wallpapers and ringtones....and extra language support packages and stuff you don't want....save lots of room.

You can NOT delete the preloaded wallpapers and pictures from your BB they are bundled together in The OS... the only thing you can delete is the sample video.
comment to the post below-on the older BB's you where able to delete this type of stuff. Why they changed that I have no idea. I would like to be able to delete this stuff my self and give my self more open memory

Someone on the forum was able to edit the .alx files and get rid of all the ringtones and wallpapers, and then they reinstalled the OS and they were gone.
I'll try searching for that thread.

This has been addressed many times. One of the admins should bump all the post that we started 4 months ago so that all the new people can see the hell we went through. It would help them and keep the post down to a minimum. Just a thought...

if you are tryin to delete the preload memory on your phone i had to load my phones then i went to the seach menu and looked for the.cod file and deleted them like that then did the application loader and it was off.
