| Tips in using Bluetooth GPS & 8100 Please Login to Remove! I don't know how useful these tips are but I decided to post it up here anyway. I think only the first tip is useful though.
After playing around with the 8100 and using Bluetooth GPS, I found few things you can do to make it work better. If you have other tips, please post it up here.
Anyway, here's a few tips in using the Bluetooth GPS and the 8100.
- Before you start using it, make sure you don't have any other programs running in the background. It will slow down your GPS and your location. To find out what those are, hold down the shift key (up & down arrow key) and than hold down the return key (the key right of your track ball). You should only have these programs running, the browser, home, phone, and messages. That's it. As you holding down the shift key, use the track ball to scroll left and right to see other programs. If you have any other programs running, go to the program and close (exit) the program.
- Turn on the Bluetooth GPS first and than start the BB Maps and start GPS. If it doesn't connect in few minutes and than stop the GPS on the BB Maps and start again. You should connect than.
- If you are getting directions from your BB Maps, review the directions and than set the zoom to 2. That way you have a close up view and you can see any upcoming turns. |
