Default protocol error?

Please Login to Remove!

So lately, the sending of a lot of my SMS has failed, saying protocol error. Does anyone know what leads to this? With searching I found that I might need to upgrade my os (mine is .64), but how can I do this on a Mac? On the blackberry site, it says I need a windows.

Thanks!
