Default Playing videos on the Pearl?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello, I am still confused on how to play videos on my Pearl. Is there a step by step guide out there that explains exactly what you need and exactly how you do it? I am totally new to this multi-media video thing.

I also want to do is be able to watch current news and sports clips on my Pearl. Do I need software to do that? I tried to download a clip from a well known sports website and got error messages that file was too big and some kind of javascript error message. I think that's called a pod cast? Some files can take a while to download right on the Pearl, but I don't do it all the time. I like to do a lot of stuff on the fly, so I would be downloading stuff directly from my Pearl.

I assume I will need a MicroSD card eventually. Do most of you use a 1 GB or 2 GB? Can I save clips directly on my Pearl from the web onto the MicroSD card and then play them on my Pearl? thanks.

thanks.

Thanks. Still a little confusing because of all the software you need.

I just want to be able to watch video clips on my Pearl from news and sports websites. What software can I use (preferably free software)?

i do highly reccommend getting a micro SD card....2GB will work as long as you have most up to date OS (4.2.0.69).

Wow you can tell when the holidays hit and new people get new devices. Seriously everyone needs to use the search function and i'm sure you will find answers to every question you could possibally have since some of us have had these phones for a few months now. Search all!!

As to how to encode with mplayer sofware go here:

Or try the search function, it does work. good luck!

ask SanFrancisco about a 35$ piece of software he recommends that does all the work for you.... probably your best bet.
