I had them and returned them. Didn't fit my ears. Otherwise they were OK. I paid $14.95 for them at the Cingular store.

Replaced them with a pair of Shure E3's I got on sale. Certainly not the best, but hey, we're talking MP3 here!

I just bought a set of SAMSUNG stereo earbuds off ebay. Has the music pause button which also activates the voice dialing feature. Said in the auction that they were for a certain model samsung phone but they work perfect on the pearl. Best part? $4.99 shipped! Search for stereo headset under mobil phone accessories. The seller had a bunch for sale.

I had never heard of these headphones and the specs and pictures look exactly what I am looking for (over the ear for stability during running but with the phone send/end button).

Great recommendation and I am looking forward to getting them.

Thanks for the rec.

Default Just got the Jabra c220s

They are phenomenal. Come with 2 sets of ear gels to try, has the answer/end button and a microphone. The headset goes over each ear so they will stay in when you run and the right and left wire are equal length (not like some of these new headphones where one side is longer than the other).

Great call and recommendation. Couldn't be happier.

I brought this question up just few days ago. It's being discussed here.

There's also a review on Jabra 220.

The OEM headset came with my Pearl (from Rogers). Sound is ok, the mic works well and it pauses music playback for an incoming call, etc. I just found the buds did not fit my ears.

I bought the Seidio 2.5-3.5 mm headset adaptor so I can use and choose from the zillions of 3.5 mm headsets.

For the record, this thread was created 3 days before yours.

I bought the Cingular ones designed for the ROKR. It has those funky gels that seal off the ear canal and produce a ton of bass. Probably bad in the long run, because I'll get hit by a car, since you hear almost no ambient noise...

They look like this:

If these suck, I'll splurge for the Sennheiser mm50's. Having owned the CX300's, I can probably guess that they'll be nothing short of stellar.

Or the mm10's when I realize that I shouldn't be running semi-sealed earbuds.

I've been using the Sennheiser MM50's since September. They work really well with the Pearl. I use them daily and luv 'em!!!

Which J&R did you get them from? I went to their downtown cluster, and went from their music store to their computer store to the discount store, and couldn't find 'em.

I bought the OEM headphones about a month ago. Nothing special. Sound is okay. Mic works.

I used mine for ... 2 minutes? ... now they sit in their box. I tried to sell them on here but no luck. It's always nice to have excess techno-cessories laying around to make you feel special.

It sounds like all of these non-OEM models are better.

I have every headset and earphone known to man, well not really that many, but a lot.

Those Jabra C220 are the best for anyone who is active.

If simply sitting on your fat butt eating cake, then ear buds would be OK, but if you workout or move around a lot, then get the Jabra C220.

They stay on perfectly, they sound OK for what they are and they cost $10 to $15 on eBay [$25 to $30 in stores].

They are so good I bought five sets and three of them were swiped by my supposed friends [well actually they whined, moaned and begged me for a set after seeing I had one pair and four for backup].

Get the Jabra C220, end of story.

Dang... BBF is costing me money. I just bought three more sets of the C220 for $10 each, shipped.

I swear, the C220 is like a secret deal out there. I think that well will dry up at some point.

Same here. I bought those OEM ear buds just because they were BB and OEM. But they don't stay in my ears, so now they are sitting somewhere in a Ziploc bag.

Maybe I will sell them as a vintage collectible.

Beware of counterfeits. People started counterfeiting Sennheiser CX300's. They lack a logo and such, and come in different packaging, but are otherwise identical. Well...other than sounding like crap.

The post you just quoted, he was talking about Jabra C220.

But thanks for the warning though...

Exactly. Same situation...someone's offloading headphones dirt cheap. It makes me question the authenticity of the product.
