I made the mistake of installing Yahoo Messenger on my Cingular device. I removed it from Applications, and checked the service books but nothing there. Any ideas? Thanks all...

Try options > security options > application permissions to see if it's listed there, if so delete from there too.

I had my fingers crossed but... nope

The bugger is still there, and if I click on it, it still launches it. I just have the icon hid now, but knowing it's there annoys me!

Did it tell you to reboot the device in order to completely remove it? Try pulling the battery to see if that removes it completely.

Interesting, did you try removing it with Desktop Manager?

I had the same problem on my 8700c. Under the Advanced Options/Applications, click on any application, then select "Modules". Scroll down until you see the Yahoo module, then delete it. That should take care of it (assuming the 8100 is anything like the 8700).

Kurtis - Unfortunately I had the same assumption, since my other device is an 8700. I guess the modules aren't handled with the same interface as the 8700... I have yet to hook it up to desktop manager as paulbblc suggested. I'll do that this weekend.
