Default dead pearl

Please Login to Remove!

I was wondering if anyone elese has had this problem? today i went to charge my pearl with my usb cable and the screen went blank and the green status light came on and would not turn off. after playing with the battery in and out the light finally went out but now when I charge it it gets really hot! I called customer service and they are replacing it but I takes forever. anyone know if this can be fixed or maybe what went wrong?? Any help would be great I am already going nuts with out my BB.

I would not even try to fix it. They should replace. Hope you kept a backup.

How long till they replace?

they said that I should have it in seven to ten bussniess days! What a pain in the ass!

No worries, that's one of those topics where you're not quite sure what to use for keywords. I would leave the battery out of the Pearl and obviously not use it. Sounds like it could have the same issue as laptop batteries had where they blew up or started on fire.

good gosh i hope not thank god the house is fully insured lol! anyway if its off charge it dosent get hot but it wont turn on.

Ah okay. Yeah, I don't want to speculate that they're having the same problem but I guess I get paranoid with stuff like this.

Are you with T-Mo? If so, my warranty replacement had the same delivery estimate, as to business days.

I had ordered expedited shipping which was three business days. Instead it arrived overnight from Georgia to San Francisco.

So you might get yours in a couple to three days.

One of my friends had the same problem as you. The rep at cngular told him that the battery probably short circuited cause of a surge ( he was using the wall charger, storming that day). They replaced it. Seems like the most obvious explanation to me.
