) appears to have improved functionality on the 8100 vs a while back when I first visited. Now it downloads the "high" resolution version where before I could only get the "low" without the 8100 locking up. Streaming is still not an option for the 8100 on TinyTube.
For the video downloaders this may be worth a look see. You can quickly download the the low res version, and it will be mediocre quality but enough to determine if its worth the wait for the high res version which plays well. I downloaded a couple of 1.4 mb clips.
I also noted that while in the native 8100 vid player there is an option to save the downloaded file that is playing, and it did.
Post script: I'm using OS .42 so it would be of interest if there was even better functionality in later OS's. Also, the vid player operates from within the browser when using these online sites. This is evidenced by the increased menu options and if you hold the esc key a bit it asks if you want to "Exit the Browser." Looks to me like those rascally RIM folks are a bit ahead of the curve as we knew it.
