Hi guys im new here, sorry about the post but im going crazy if i dont find out how to do this !

i cant put music on my pearl, i connect and everything! but on the right side (the blackberry side) when i click on device memory i only see 2 folders, and thats pictures and ringtone... for some reason i think there should be a folder for music and video... but theres not! so when i tried to create new folder and drop/drag my mp3 its still said it was too big and would max out the phone... but i turned the mass storage on and when connect yes as i read around the forums... but still nothing! can someone please help

Thanks

Do you have a microsd card in the pearl?

root folder should be "blackberry"

inside that folder there are 4 folders....

music
ringtones
videos
pictures

you really need a microsd card!

If you turned 'mass storage mode' on, then I take it you have a microSD card? With MSM on, you have to access the card from windows explorer. It will look just like another drive. What you're seeing in the Desktop Manager is the internal memory on the phone.

I have a sd card media reader/writer on my computer and tried to simply put music and photos on it thinking that the BB pearl would read it. I was wrong, did you try that approach? You should go to options > advanced options > media card and format the media card, then put in music, videos, photos, etc through the Blackberry. Hope that solves your problems.

So let me get some things straight for clarifications ^^. When you go to the BB application menu, and go to media does it show video and music at all, or is there only 2 options (Ringtones and pictures). Is there a music and video folder in the media card?

If it doesn't show the options of video and music, maybe I suggest reinstalling your OS. Or do you mean that there are the folders, you put stuff in and it still does not show up or work? Either way maybe you should reinstall your OS. I'm not as pro as these other BB users maybe SF or someone else should help but I don't think an OS reinstallation would hurt.

Oh, I think I know what you mean now, try what mckinneycm said and go through the window explorer. What he means is, don't go through the desktop manager, go to My Computer and click the removable drive that pops out when you plug your phone in. It should work through there. For example if you have 1 hard drive that shoulds be C: then you have 1 cd drive that should be D: then your BB device should be E: click on that, it will have a root folder of blackberry, then click on that, it should have 4 folders... put your music and videos via that. Hopefully that will help you, sorry if you have already done this but it seems that you are clicking on the desktop manager (which I don't use unless I want to load a program). Tell me how it goes.

This may be too obvious but did you format the card?

If this has already been discussed, then I apologize, but I didn't see it. If you have Mass Storage Mode enabled, the Desktop Manager won't see the media card. If this is enabled, try disabling it and see if that fixes Desktop Manager.
