Default How to turn back light / screen off?

Please Login to Remove!

I searched, didn't find anything.

I'm used to the 7100, where if you hit the button below the track wheel, the screen shuts off, can't figure out how to do the same operation on the 8100, any insight?

thanks!

I'm loving this phone! Better reception too, which was driving nuts, with the 7100.
I may stick with T-Mobile now.

That's a good question. Never have seen that before. Best I can detect is that you can set your brightness to 10% and time the backlight to 10 seconds.

Why do you want it to be turned off? If it so it does not go off [light up] on calls, etc. I think that can be set in the profiles/notifiers. But not sure.

You can set it to standby, which is holding the mute button... but it doesn't let you use the phone... I never thought about it, maybe he wants the backlight maximize battery life.

Oh, it's just habit I guess, also I used my 7100 as a light, turning in on of off whenever necessary. It's just nice to turn off the light when I want to, rather than let the phone sleep on its own.

thanks, I'll mess with the mute button, but I can't get on it right now, my girl is playing a game on it. She's addicted.

Wait until you show her some videos or play some MP3's. Might as well kiss the phone goodbye or buy her one.
