Default Tasks Program Missing!

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

I have a little problem. A few months ago I upgraded to the newer firmware, hated it because of the lack of the automatic backlight option, and used this forum to figure out how to install the older 42 firmware on the Pearl. Thanks for that!

However, apparently not everything was installed with the firmware change; I'm now missing the Tasks program.

As far as I can tell, there's no way to install the Tasks program now. When I go to Backup/Restore and Advanced and try to copy the Tasks program and Tasks Options to the phone from an old backup copy, it is greyed out and I am unable to transfer it over. (I can tell in the Advanced window that the Tasks and Tasks Options are not even installed on the phone.)

I am at a loss on how to fix this problem. Any help is appreciated.

I am not adverse to reformatting the phone completely with the 42 firmware and wiping all the data on it, as long as someone can explain to me how to copy all my addresses, messages, etc back to the phone from my backup on my computer.

Thanks again!
