Red face GPS iBlue Pearl Uncaught exception:java.lang.

Please Login to Remove!

Becoming very frustrated in my attempts at getting my Pearl to work with a Bluetooth GPS unit.

I get this message "Uncaught exception:java.lang.IllegalArgumentException".

This message comes up whenever I try to access the GPS function of the mapping software. I am using a bluetooth GPS unit called iBlue. Have installed and reinstalled software many times. I have updated my operating system to the latest version with no improvement. Anyone have any ideas ?

I had the same problem with my Pearl and the iBlue GPS, but I did get it fixed. What I did was I opened the Desktop Manager Application Loader and I believe the checkbox was open to install just the mapping application again. After reinstalling it, it worked.

However, I was using the original OS that was shipped with T-Mobile Pearl at that time. I'm using the latest T-Mobile OS now and it is still working.

I hope this helps you.

Default iBlue GPS Error Message

Mike

Thanx for the reply

Finally got it working. Upgraded this morning to V4.2.0.67. I know there are even more current versions offered by Cingular , but I was trying to play safe and stayed with Rogers.

As soon as I turned the GPS on with the new version it worked properly , and has been doing so all day. I have been pulling my hair out for two weeks.

Thanx Again

Dave
