Default Is it possible to do download mp3s from the web with your Pearl?

I did a search on the forums, but didn't find anything related. I'd be interested in using some kind of a subscription service where I'd be able to buy songs and download them directly to my bb. That would be pretty cool!

It would be cool but you can't do it. You won't be able to do it with the iPhone either. Probably too much bandwidth. You can do it with Verizon for $3 per song I think. Some deal, huh?

The nice thing about cingular is that they let you put your own music and ringtones on with out a hassle. It is very easy to transfer songs to the Pearl using DM, and you dont have to pay a penny if you already own the song.

Some people here frown upon stolen materials and warez.

That is true, it isnt called wireless for nothing. I think that you can dl songs from Cingular and their MediaNet service.

I download songs on the go from websites that have click to download songs,as in just click on the name and it sends you directly to the .mp3 url or something like that.It does take a while to load up on the Pearl, but once it finishes loading up,it plays automatically and you can click on the menu to save it in one of your folders.

if you like experimental electronica you can try: releases menu (page looks fine in the pearl browser)

(admission - i'm involved with hippocamp so am biased and the music isn't going to appeal to people used to having mainstream music poisoning your ears)
