Smile Free Application - meshDates

Please Login to Remove!

link to zip: http://meshsystem.net/downloads/meshDates.zip

extract and install to your pearl with the desktop manager software, i'll announce this formally tomorrow - if anyone has any problems please post here.

is a handy application where you can enter your important meetings in the coming days - good for forgetful people like me and those who find the default calendar a pain-in-the-arse to use. add a title and any text you like and assign it a custom icon, click on an event to see a popup with the details.

earlier screenshots here: meshNotes

it's meant to be simple - please don't ask for everything and the kitchen sink but any useful additions/feature requests will be implemented.

cheers,
jon

That looks very nice. The included calendar with the BB makes it hard to see at a glance what's scheduled that day. I use the month view and all it does is put tiny lines in the date when you have stuff, but you have to go into the date to see what it is. The Today theme helps me see what's coming up, but this may work for me, thanks!

I can't install this yet, I'm away. Question: How many appointments per day can it show?

Thumbs up

Great calendar program! It's much easier on the eyes than the BB Calendar. One question though - I am currently syncing iCal to the BB Calendar. How do I get iCal's calendar information into this program (if possible)?

thanks all, have noticed a couple of small issues, main one being that there's plenty of room for the event title to be longer than 10 characters - will adjust tomorrow before release.

this was mainly written to suit the way i work - i've never used a fully functional calendar - i prefer scribbled notes - and i get stressed out if i have to worry about more than one major task a day (seriously - one 'thing' a day is my limit, it's not an excuse for the way this thing works). it's not designed for my work-life either as that's mostly the same week from week, it's for things like 'drinks next thursday with chris and marianne' and birthdays and the like.

you can only enter one item for a day and it only lists the next 25 days - that's the beauty of it, it's very simple.

regarding syncing - from this to ical or google calendar - not really any point as there's no time info here, and from those apps to this - not feasable as it only handles one item a day (i go to work, come home, eat, wash, sleep - i only 'do' stuff about 3 times a week, a businessman with a hectic life wont want to use this!)

Why would you use this instead of the Agenda view in Calendar?

cos it has 1/10 of the fields when adding an event, is more lightweight, quicker and prettier.

no. no syncing. what you see is what you get.

this software is discussed here: http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...earl-apps.html
