Default The * Sym key?

Please Login to Remove!

When typing a email and you hit this key and lets assume your looking for the -(dash) symbol, in the top left. Underneath the - is a block with QW, what is this for?

At first, I thought it was telling me that the QW key was the shortcut to type in a dash. This didn't work for me. I could be doing something wrong. It would be nice to quickly insert a dash without hitting the *sym key and then clicking on the dash.

Could somebody set me straight.

Well its not the shortcut, its when your are in the symbols menu you can use the corrosponding key on your keyboad to put that symbol in instead of using the trackball to go to it and then selecting it. Lets take the dash for example, instead of pressing the trackball while over it to put a dash in you can just press the QW key and it will put the dash in.

You need to press the sym button, and then the QW button for the dash. No way around it.

You can hit the sym button and then use the trackball to select the dash also but the Q/W underneath is the corresponding key that will give you the dash-only after hitting sym, though.
