Default Two New Free Pearl Apps

Please Login to Remove!

Have put the finished versions of the following two apps up on the web.

meshNotes - now more robust and with a much improved interface, larger text and just more usable all round. looks so much better than the old release:

link: meshNotes

meshDates - some minor improvements to this app, most important being longer title names:

link: meshDates

thanks,
jon

Most enticing and impressive. [You created that cool snowflake game? Loved that one].

Can you post some information in here as to what these apps are all about. Would be most helpful for the clueless like me. Plus that will help when doing a search of BBF for applications.

Thanks

I'm having trouble saving MeshNotes. I press down on the trackball or press enter on the option '>>save', but no dice!

Ahh... need a separate SD card... Should have read more carefully.

Does this automatically create a new separate folder on the card from the standard 4 media folders? The screenshot suggests that it does.

hello all.

yes, needs an sd as it saves the file to the root by default - although you can open and save files from any directory - it only creates them on the root.

re: meshMp3 tease! - it's a very complicated program, these two apps both took a day to create - the mp3 player is many times more complex - the main thing stopping me finishing it is i have no audio on my work computer so can only do it at home in my spare time - and i have prescious little of that - i will try and get it done asap though!

some short explanations:

meshNotes - allows you to read, write and create .txt files on your pearl - you can view files on the pearl with the default media tool but you can't create or edit - with this you can. i released it a while back but have reworked it to be slicker and tighter - it looks a lot better now - more pro.

meshDates - this has no syncing abilities and only one event a day - if you want a full calendar that syncs then use the default one. this is just to help me remember stuff - and i only have a few things a week that i need to remember - my life is relatively simple but i have the memory of a fish.

re: the snowflake game - there'll be another one in spring - going to do a cute seasonal series of 4 games.

thanks again and i hope you find a use for these little apps.

I have tried for the last 30 minutes to access http://meshsystem.net and all I get is something that relates to construction materials. Could you please post the url for downloading the meshnotes? I searched for it on the meshnet site and I only get a pinstack discussion.

aaagh!!! - the domain has run out and the company i registered the
domain with have been bought by another company who do hosting but not
domain registration - so basically unless i want a lot of stress i've
lost the domain - have registered a new domain - will let you know
when it's up and running (48 hours max - have to wait for the dns to
update).

it's times like these i'm glad i got out of web programming...

[EDIT - seems to be back up - god knows why]

It's not up, unless you just got into the construction business.

jfisher - if you wish you can host your apps at our place and give out links. PM me, I will give out the e-mail where you can send the file and I can host for you till you get things ready.
