Sorry to say but for me its a bit to fem. I dont know maybe its the Iridescence of it. I got a chance to play with it at my local tmobile store and thought that it would be great 4 my mom or girlfriend. However i have a guy friend that wants one because it looks different. He wants a demo phone so that he can take it apart and but together a hybrid of the black pearl and white one. to each his own

I don't think it's girly......just too much of a pain to keep clean like a white car.

Has any done a mod on a pearl to change the color? The gold one sounds like a good idea. A little extra bling!

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry Pearl: BlackBerry8100/4.2.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

A Black & Gold pearl would be good!

I'm sorry, but a white Pearl would not fit in with a real man's stuff.

Can you picture a white Pearl in the below shot?

I like the way the white 8100 looks, but I would never get one because to me it looks less like a professional device and more like a toy.

Kind of like "Pearl, the Junior edition".

I guess, like some of the rest of you, I've come to associate white electronics with the iPod line.

To each his/her own. Looks good but it doesn't match my "setup"

No offense to anyone but the Black one looks more sophisticated. The White one looks more like a weekend phone.

I think it looks sharp but would show the dirt because of how much it is handled everyday.

Totally a female device! Forget the colour, the entire device is female! I bought my wife one for christmas. (She had my old 7290 before) I will spend time on it every now and again and can't wait to get back on my 8700.
Total chick phone. And the fact that they changed the "cosmetics" of this one doesn't do much to sway me from that opinion.
