Angry Speaker no longer working

Please Login to Remove!

I have a Pearl from Tmobile that is about 6 months old. All of a sudden the speaker is no longer working. I can hear callers using the speakerphone or bluetooth headset, but not the normal speaker anymore.

I always keep it in the case. No drops or exposure to moisture. I have the latest OS installed and no changes in the last month to any new software.

I have taken out the battery and reset.

Just trying to see if anyone else has run into this issue and what did you do to resolve.

Any ideas?

Do a search of the forum. There are threads discussing this issue. In fact, enter in the search box "warranty speaker" and you will find my thread that discusses the phone's speaker going out and hence the reason I had to make a warranty claim.

If you do have to make a claim, it's as simple as calling 611 on your phone and having them send a new phone. Took all of three minutes for me. But they will make you do certain things beforehand to see if the problem is something else, e.g., install new OS, so may as well do those things before calling 611.

My forth Pearl just died same speaker issue as you. After months of this T-mobile finally gave me a t-mobile dash witch I have to say is superior to the pearl. This issue is a major defect with the pearl 4 phones in 3 months and the same problem. maybe they will fix the problem with a new batch
