Just curious if there are any services that I can have send me a free text message to notify me of a waiting email.

I dont have a data plan seeing as I have a broadband card for my PC that goes with me while I work.

Out of the FREE email sites, which ones let me connect my cell to my mail?

you know:

yahoo
gmail
hotmail
etc.

If you don't have a data plan why does it matter if you're notified of a waiting e-mail. You can't do anything about it until you get back to your PC anyway.

Not trying to be a smart alec, just realistic. I've never heard of any of these services sending text message notifications. That's not to say they don't.

I would just like to be sent a text that tells me when I have one so I know to log on and check it.

I know that freaking myspace sends texts so I figured that maybe some email provider would also do the same.
