Does anyone currently receive a wireless discount from any of the wireless companies? At my last workplace they offered all employees a 15% discount off your monthly wireless bill, and they had reps from Sprint, Cingular,& T-mobile offering the same deal.... I never took advantage of it because I thought it was a scam to get you into a new service contract...

I will like to know if anyone currently receives a student or corporate discount...if so do you see any savings at the end of the month? or do such discounts even exist?

I work for Darden Restaurants and I receive 10% off of my monthly bill with Cingular. I also receive 40% off any equipment. It is definitely worth it.

Receive 17% off corp discount with my cingular service.

I work for a large Insurance company and we have discount codes for Verizon (25% off service), Sprint (20% off service) and Cingular (20% service, 30% off hardware). I just activated my new Pearl on Cingular and the 30% hardware discount is a joke since that is in Lieu of any rebates or discounts. I was much better off getting the Pearl for $100 after the instant and mail-in rebate. The 20% service discount is nice though. Sorry, it won't do any good to give you my codes since they verify by employee ID.

I work for an accounting firm.. we get 21% off cingular.. and i think 25% off equipment.

I know microsoft employees get 50% off equipment and about 30% off plan..

My mom works for a rehab company and they get 10% off of the monthly bill (Cingular). What makes it even better is that when you have a que you get transfered to the Corporate CS. There is less wait time and the CS reps are more educated.

i don't know if/how Cingular checks that you are infact an employee though.
i went in, said i worked for xyz company and they gave me the rate..

didn't ask for proof of employment or anything..

Funny, Cingular actually made me walk out to my car and retrieve a business card to prove my identity. If someone wants to give it a try, PM me and I'll give out the magic #.

When my mom asked for the corporate discount, she had to send in a paystub that showed that she was an employee of the company she works for. SHe had to fax a copy of it to the billing department of Cingular. Idk how you got around that, but i dont think that it will work everytime.
