im new here.

i just got the pearl a couple weeks ago. love everything about it except for one thing - the low volume sound on the ringtones. i already read about it being louder if u take the battery cover off and also drilling holes in the battery cover and how that would make it louder and crisp. but im honestly too insecure and afraid something's gonna mess up.

instead i used a sound editing prog. to increase the volume of my ringtones. it increased bout 30-40% or more. then i took the battery cover off to see how it sounded and it was really freakin loud.

question is, can the edited mp3 ringtone be too loud? meaning will it damage the speakers on the phone bc its cranked up there? i dont wanna break the speakers on it after a couple weeks use.

Care to tell us which sound editing prog you used ? I could surely use louder volume for my ringtones - Thanks !
