T-mobile technical support (several of them) and I do not recognize the mysterious phone icon with the 2-stripes that is on my Pearl. Everything, including Internet and Email, seem to be working fine. It is annoying me that I cannot figure it out or how to make it go away.

Since T-mobile 2nd tier tech support cannot figure it out -- I was hoping someone on this forum could shed some light on this. By the way, reseting the Blackberry does not work either, which makes me believe this is network related.

Check your call log and delete the missed call. Should go away then.

Nope...my call log was already clear. But your suggestion made me check my call forward setting (which i reset).. hence the the two arrows "<<" next to the yellow phone icon, symbolizing that phone calls are being diverted.

Ahh...call forwarding. The pic wasnt big enough to pick out the << it just looked like the missed call icon which is an x. Glad you got it.
