Default Motorcycle Videos For The Pearl

Please Login to Remove!

Starved for videos for your Pearl?

Not sure if this belongs here or not, mods can move if I offend any of them.

Anyway, here are some motorcycle videos that I made, converted for the Pearl.

I have about 100 street, track days and race videos. If you like these [and bikes], let me know and I will post others.

I have to leave so I will skip the blah, blah. Titles and credits say what these are.

One is a joke music video I made for a motorcycle Forum I belong to. My member name there is "Roto." Maybe some people in here are members there too? If so, PM me and say howdy do.

Also there is my Vespa tour about town, San Francisco, don't hassle me. It's only a Vespa.

Bonus Tip: Best heard with headphones.

Your duc sounds nice in that Fremont clip, growly and throaty. This looks like fun, what do you use for helmet cam thingamabob to take the videos?

Thanks.

As to the camera it's a Sony "race grade" cam. I think it was about $200 at a discount. But you need a video camera to hook it up to.

The digital video is really clear, but by the time I convert for the PC and Pearl, it's not that good.

Haha you're so much more refined than I am, I'd probably ghetto-tech it up with an old Sony Cybershot bungie-corded to the forks/headlight or something.

I'm out the door, but feel compelled to respond.

A few years back, about 1999 we used to do the bungie cord setup. Now everyone has the digital setups with cameras that do all sorts of things I don't understand except that the sellers say "steady shots at 200 mph." Good enough for me.

I still have the old camcorder I used to use. $1200 setup now worth about $10 on eBay. As with the Pearl compared to old cell phones, that camera looks like the size of a house. Could only do 167 mph with that brick on my R1.

By the way, even digital cameras do a good job for most movies on a bike, below 80 anyway.

Look at that Vespa movie again. The original is very good [meaning the Pearl conversion is crap]. I shot that with a Minolta Dimage XT digital camera straped to my chest and held in place with velcro.

I thought it was kinda funny when I heard your Vespa shift into a second gear. I don't know much about scooters, I thought they were a single-gear-only ride, didn't know they had two!
