I have been giving CloneDVDMobile a try. I haven't purchased it yet. So, far I've been quite happy with it. I need to convert movies to iPod format for my daughter as well as for my Pearl and this fits both bills quite nicely. It's a little pricey but the ease of use and functions is great. It only takes about 30 minutes to encode a DVD for the BB. So far, so good.

Sry for being a little off topic but what format does the ipod require. I thought that you could put the videos encoded for the Pearl onto the ipod and they would work.

I hadn't even tried that....I searched around for encoders for iPod a while back and found a few but was looking for something that would do both. I'll try it later when I get some time.
