Default Force SureType to select a certain word first?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I couldn't find the answer in my search so I'm helping somebody can help me.

Can I force the Pearl's SureType to select a certain word first? My name is Nick, but SureType wants to use "buck" every time I type my name. My name is always the third selection so I have to select it from the list every time. I don't foresee having to type "buck" too often, so......Can I force SureType to select my name first instead?

Thanks for any help!

i dont have a 8100 but isnt there a word list where you can add words that are used alot?

also try to use auto text feature...

so if you want to add a signature to your email make "qqq" for example turn into your signature like

Nick .....

Perfect! AutoText was the key.

No more

"Thanks,
buck"

at the end of my emails.

Thanks!

I just created an entry that replaced "buck" with "Nick."

I guess I'll have to worry about it if I have to type "buck," but I don't plan on doing that too often.

If there is a key combination that always produces 2 different words (are, see), then you get the one you want by typing the word you want 3 times in a row. After you type press the keys and get the wrong word, use the wheel to scroll over to select the correct word before continuing. That will make the word you want the first choice.

you dont need to type a word but 3 letters and space bar ... 3 letters that you would never type like ddd or rrr etc.

I can't quite get this to work. No matter how many times I select "Nick" it won't come up as the first selection.

The autotext works fine though.

Thanks!
