Default Need help organizing music...

Please Login to Remove!

So I have the pearl with the Kingston 1g card... I formated the card, and it works fine. I uploaded a bunch of music from my itunes library onto the card in a m4a format. The problem I'm running into is when I uploaded the music to the card all it combined all the track #1 songs all together, then all the track#2 songs all together, and so on, and so on instead of keeping all the songs on the albums all together... Does anyone know how I can fix this?

What I do is to manually go into the folder and place a number before each tune, in the order I want them to play. This way if I want to change the playlist order, or play in groups depending on genre or sound, I can do so by simply assigning different numbers.

Go to MySpace page [link below] and you can see how I set up my music player with numbers, the same as that I do on the Pearl.

Bonus Tip: Use two numerals for each, even on the singe digit. Such as 01, 02, 03, and so on. Do NOT put 1, 2, 3, 4, etc.

Bonus Tip: If you want to play in groups based on genre, beat or tempo, simply number the tunes with the same number, such as that I have on MySpace.

the best way is to simply place them in folders. Also have one placed in the root folder so you get the play all function from there. If you don't have any songs in the media card folder you won't be able to play all of your songs from all folders. I have mine set up this way and it works fine.

instead of going through all of that trouble. use windows media player. it can read your pearl as a "sync" device (music player). its almost as easy as itunes. and it places the music files in folders and it also imports album art.

i have used the copy and paste method but windows media gives me better results.
